Support Shelter House's Office Move
Shelter House is entering an exciting new chapter, and we invite you to be part of it! In early 2026, our Administrative Office will move to a new space in Chantilly, strategically located between Fairfax and Loudoun counties. This relocation is more than a move, it’s a vital step toward creating a space that truly supports trauma-informed care, accessibility, and regional collaboration.
Our current administrative office was not designed for trauma-informed client interactions. Limited privacy, shared work areas, and a lack of dedicated meeting space make it difficult to provide confidential, calm, and survivor-centered environments. These constraints limit our ability to safely meet with individuals experiencing homelessness and domestic violence, conduct sensitive conversations, and offer dignified support.
The new space changes that. It will include private, trauma-informed client meeting areas, intentionally designed to foster safety, calm, and dignity. The Chantilly location also expands our ability to hold regular in-office hours that are more accessible to both Fairfax and Loudoun communities, strengthening direct support and cross-county collaboration.
This important step comes with significant costs beyond our annual budget, and we’re turning to you, our amazing community, to help make it possible. Your gift today will help cover essential transition expenses including trauma-informed meeting rooms, furniture and workstations, technology upgrades, and moving services.
Every contribution helps transform an empty office into a welcoming, efficient, and healing-focused hub where safety, hope, and life-changing solutions can thrive.
Together, we are Changing Lives!
